COMPANIONSHIP AND SUPPORT

How can we help?

According to Age UK, more than a million older people say they go for over a month without speaking to a friend, neighbour or family member.
Contrary to what many people think, loneliness is not a normal part of aging, and it not only makes life miserable, it can have a serious impact on your physical and mental health too.

We’ve found many clients don’t necessarily need a lot of help, but would sometimes appreciate a companion to support them during various activities. Someone they can chat and discuss things with, at home or out-and-about.

Our highly personalized care packages range from 60 minutes long visits as and when needed, perhaps to provide companionship or support with routine daily tasks, through to complex specialist care needs.

We can also offer a managed live-in service, which ensures help is at hand round the clock while allowing people to remain living in their comfortable homes.
Our Services Include:
Daily tasks such as getting and being prepared for the day
Shopping
Cooking
Using public transport
Visiting a community centre
Company and transport for doctor and hospital appointments
Meal preparation
Cleaning
Walking the dog

Going to collect pension or visiting the bank
Enjoying a chat over a cup of tea
Mental stimulation

And it's good to have someone to ask...

As well as offering companionship, it's nice to know that your care and support worker is willing and able to spend time helping you to master the difficulties of modern life, such as:

Learning how to use a mobile phone, TV remote control or computer
Paying bills and understanding financial documents
Getting funding advice or help with claiming benefits

This is all about you

It's your choice how much and what kind of companionship support you have, and how often you want it. The above are only examples - feel free to ask us about your personal needs.
